How to make your poster for the HOPE Congress

Research posters summarize information or research concisely and attractively to help publicize it and generate discussion.

A poster is usually a combination of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats. At a conference, the researcher stands by the poster display while other participants can come and view the presentation and interact with the author.

Poster Session and setup

The congress desk will assist you with your poster setup on Tuesday afternoon between 15.00 and 17.30 or on Wednesday Morning form 8.30.

The poster session will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 12.00 in the Hall of the Stelline Congress center. During the poster sessions presenters will have te opportunity to present their work to the congress participants. We suggest three minutes to summarise your research, followed by two minutes to address questions (you can repeat this presentation to different people within the poster session’s hour).

Preparing a handout can help remind people of your project later and is an easy way to give your contact info to others in your field. Think of it like a business card. An easy, low-key handout is to just print copies of your poster on printer paper. If you want you can also make a handout that complements, but doesn’t copy, your poster.

Specification for the Poster

Poster boards will accommodate A0 size portrait (vertical) posters: height 1189 mm (46.8 inches), width 841 mm (33.1 inches). Please ensure that your display will fit within these parameters. Your poster must be printed by you on paper or, if you prefer, on light printable fabric for easier transportation.
